ClueRoll
A free daily English word-and-cube puzzle: solve a clue, then roll lettered cubes into slots so their top faces spell the answer. Wordplay meets spatial logic, with hints, undo and an archive.
About ClueRoll
ClueRoll is a free daily puzzle that joins a word clue to a spatial challenge. Each day brings one English clue in one of four forms: a common link, a double definition, a missing link, or an analogy. There is no answer box to type into. Instead you roll six-faced letter cubes across a small board, and each roll changes which letter faces up. The puzzle is solved when the top faces spell the answer in the answer slots, so knowing the word is only the start: you still need a route that lands every cube with the right letter on top. Word hints and cube hints are counted separately, and undo, reset and restart let you rework a route. Each solved daily puzzle also awards four letter fragments toward a 28-letter weekly phrase, and earlier dates stay playable in the archive. Progress saves in your browser with no account.
How to play
Read the daily clue and work out the English word that fits. Select a lettered cube, choose an entrance, then roll the cube along the board toward an answer slot. Each roll changes which letter faces up, so the route decides the letter you arrive with. A correct letter in its correct slot turns green and locks. Fill every slot to spell the answer and finish the puzzle. Use a word hint for the clue, a cube hint for the route, or undo and reset if a path goes wrong. Each solved day adds four letters to the weekly phrase puzzle.
Controls
Mouse or touch: click or tap a cube, then an entrance, then use the on-screen direction buttons to roll. Keyboard: the arrow keys roll the selected cube. Undo, Reset cube and Restart buttons sit beside the board.
